Wow this was… bad。 Insta love galore， no plot to speak of that made any kind of sense。 The author includes a note in the beginning that Alek and Abby are just friends which had me expecting there to be more scenes between them to even begin to cause some confusion if it was a love triangle or not。 But nope。 They basically have 3 scenes together， it’s ridiculous。 This was so bad and I’m so disappointed。

Nikolai and Abbie's story brought so many emotions to the surface throughout their story。 It was funny， heartfelt， happy， sad， frustrating and so sexy！ Nikolai's attempt at ignoring Abbie in Book 1 became so funny， making their relationship one to cheer。 Abbie' tenacity in pursuing Nikolai （age-gap romance） was funny and sad too， especially as he learns of her rape。 He was the only person （other than Aurora who was basking in her own romance and up-coming wedding to Misha） who saw the subtle cha Nikolai and Abbie's story brought so many emotions to the surface throughout their story。 It was funny， heartfelt， happy， sad， frustrating and so sexy！ Nikolai's attempt at ignoring Abbie in Book 1 became so funny， making their relationship one to cheer。 Abbie' tenacity in pursuing Nikolai （age-gap romance） was funny and sad too， especially as he learns of her rape。 He was the only person （other than Aurora who was basking in her own romance and up-coming wedding to Misha） who saw the subtle changes in her personality。 Alex， who finds her being raped by her kidnappers becomes her good friend in book 2 and hides her secret。 He stays by her side during a very difficult time for her。 Nikolai admits that he can't stay away from Abbie， befriends her and gently bring hers back to life。 For a rough and tough character， his treatment of her in book 2 is swoon worthy。 He takes her to his island home for a week where his family baths Abbie in friendship， love， affection and attention she never got from her AWFUL father and mother。 Her parents and especially her father needed to be swimming with the fishes by books' end。 The parents in these stories just keep getting uglier and uglier。 They are nothing but rabid dogs in how they treat their children。 Death is too good for these men and women。 Nikolai's family is just the opposite of Abbie's family which makes the contrast even more prevalent。 With Nikolai and his family's help， they save Abbie from yet another "arranged marriage"。 She overwhelming chose's Nikolai and wipes her family out of her life embracing the warmth and love of the man she loves and his family。 Book two is a slow-recovery for Abbie， but with Nikolai's attention， love and need to protect her; their relationship blossoms into a beautiful story of "Recovery" of a rape victim who suffers from PTSD and a stunning love story。 It's a well written book with strong characters， a unique story line， sassy heroines， stubborn MMC's with an ending that will make most readers smile。 Ms。 Heard is a good author that I can always rely upon to give me an entertaining， original read。I hope Alex get's his story。 。。。more
